2010 IASM Convention

DJHM hosted the 2010 International Assocation of Structural Movers Annual Convention.  The company hosted the yard visit which included yard tour, block throwing contest for children, women and men and a house backing competition.  Cash prizes and trophies were awarded at the Saturday evening banquet.  Go cart racing was on the agenda but due to the continual rain and eventually snow the event was cancelled.  A steak lunch was served to all the guests.  Approximately 400 people were in attendance.  The conference was held in Destin, Florida.  DJHM received an international award for the tallest structure moved.  This award was added to the (3) previous international awards received by DJHM which includes 2009 Widest Structure Moved,  2002 Heaviest Structure Moved on Rubber Tired Dollies and 1999 Heaviest Structure Moved Under $25,000.00.  Charlie Johnson, owner of DJHM, was voted to serve as a Director on the board of the IASM.

New Corporate Office

In 2009, DJHM purchased a two-story home from Jim Walters, removed the roof and moved the house in two pieces from Tallahassee, Florida to Grand Ridge, Florida.  The move and the placing of the roof back onto the house was made in one day.  Interior renovations which consist of sheetrock and paint  and exterior renovations which consisted of painting the new office our famous colors blue and white, were made and is now the corporate head office for Ducky Johnson House Movers, Inc.  DJHM purchased (5) of these homes from Jim Walters and sold each one to other customers. 

                   

                   

 

                     

 

                     

                    

                     

                     

                     

                     

                     

                     

 

  


 

Alvin Attenhoffer Job

Job was located in Perlington, MS.  It was a brick house with wood floors with chimney.  House was flooded by Katrina.  DJHM elevated 12 feet and installed concrete piling foundation.  House weight approximately 120 tons.
